On October 3rd, Ruby had her first dental and comprehensive exam. This meant that she had to do fasting and get dropped off at 7 in the morning on Saturday.
I was nervous on how she would do because she is still warming up to strangers, but she did great. She didn't growl or anything at drop off.
She weighed 55lbs. Good grief! A lot more than her 45lbs when we first adopted her.
I had to walk her to the door to the back as she wouldn't walk with the person that was at the front. As soon as the door closed I heard, "No, this way Ruby." I could tell that she noticed that I hadn't followed and was trying to turn back.
At pick up I found out that they do a lot more for dogs than cats. I didn't know that a heartworm test was included in the plan, as well as one for lyme disease and a few others that I don't recall. I had them clip her nails while she was under so they were able to get really close to the quick which was nice. They weren't able to collect a pee sample so they gave me a container to catch it in. After I picked her up, we walked around and I got my pee sample! They said she did great and had no issues with strangers which I was so glad to hear.
